Come to think of it, what CAN Satan do?

I was thinking, a couple days ago, about something or other, and whatever it was, it got me to thinking, can Lucifer\Satan see the future?

   Well, maybe not.

This got me off on another tangent, thinking about what power he does have. And based on what we can read about his character in Job, Revelations, and elsewhere, I'm inclined to think he's bluffing.

Don't get me wrong. I am not underestimating the Devil's power to brainwash, lie, deceive, hypnotize, tactically look deep into the present, etc
Nor am I saying we can defeat him in our own power. Cause we can't,

But what I'm saying is, there is a hell of a lotta stuff he can't do.

Satan is not all powerful. He can directly affect the present, and can physically cause things to happen. He can distort our perception and trick us into seeing things that aren't actually there. But from what I can tell, he basically has to ask God's permission to do a lot of his deeds.

He is not all-knowing. He is very smart and a brilliant tactician. But he can still be caught off-guard

He is not all-seeing. He sees the past (we all do), he sees the present (we all do) he sees the present in a deeper way than we do (if that makes sense). He can see the connection between a present event and a past event that directly affected it.
But he can't see the future. He can make very educated guesses, but then again, so can I.

He is not all-present. He's a spirit and can move about on a whim in an instant. But where-ever he is, that's where he is and nowhere else. As it says in Job, he roams to and fro on the Earth (I'm picturing him frantically running around in circles with a cellular in his ear, a clipboard in one hand, an Ipad in the other, trying to stay on schedule with his tempting). He does, however, have a massive army of demons to help do his bidding.

He is not humble. He is conceited and full of himself. He probably has less power than he honestly thinks.

He is not honest. He can take truth and twist it to his purposes, but its still essentially lying. The key is, you gotta stay alert and catch the trick. But its hard sometimes, the way he can twist our perception of reality.

He is not infinite. God created Lucifer\Satan. Highest angel, maybe. But still a caterpillar next to Yaweh Almighty.

Satan is the prince of this world, and he has power to turn the heat up on us. But we have the King of the Universe on our side, who has the power to flip the tables.

Respect the devil's power, don't try taking him on without God beside you. But he ain't invincible like so many (himself included) make him out to be.

Why am I choosing to blog about this? Because I firmly believe that this is the generation of the Tribulation. Today, tomorrow, next year, next 5 years, next 20 years, whenever. But this generation I believe, will live to see Satan's height of power.

It will be a horrible time of suffering for many who profess Christ. But I don't believe it will all be one-sided.
No, we won't defeat the Antichrist till The 2nd Coming, but we can combat him, whether with physical weaponry or not. And I say we'll be able surprise him, evade him, trick him, and frustrate him as well as he can against us.

Yaweh will not be defeated. And through His power, neither will we. In Him, our lives will drive the devil insane. In Him, our deaths will drive the devil insane. That is the way of the lions.
